York City Knights

That this House thanks the former Chief Executive of the York City Knights, Jon Flatman, and the staff and players for their work in helping secure the future of the Knights; congratulates the Club on their successes since Mr Flatman took over ownership, including securing the League One title in 2018 and their appearance at Wembley Stadium for the first time in 90 years in the 1895 Cup final; acknowledges the smooth transition made to the LNER Community Stadium and the growth of York City Knights Ladies; welcomes the arrival of the Rugby League World Cup to York this year; recognises the work that has been done to promote inclusivity and physical and mental wellbeing in the community through the work of the York City Knights Foundation with people of all ages and abilities; and sends good wishes to Mr Flatman for the future as well as continued success for the Knights, both on and off the field.
