Auchrannie Resort on the Isle of Arran

That this House congratulates Auchrannie Resort on the Isle of Arran on being named Scotland's Best Staycation at the Prestige Hotel Awards 2022; notes that this achievement is a huge accolade and tribute to staff at the venue who work so hard to make every Auchrannie experience a memorable one; recognises that this award builds on many of the resort’s previous wins, including Activities Hotel of the Year and Spa Team of the Year, as awarded by The Scottish Hotel Awards 2020; appreciates that the Isle of Arran resort of Auchrannie is the first in Scotland to be owned by its employees with an Employee Ownership Trust holding 100% of the company's shares on behalf of its 160 employees; is aware of the fantastic facilities available at the Auchrannie including two 4 star hotels with 85 rooms, thirty five-star self-catering lodges, 14 luxury retreats, three restaurants, a destination spa, shop and two leisure clubs with pools, children’s playbarn and outdoor adventure centre; praises the hard work of all the staff working at Auchrannie Resort in securing this prestigious accolade after the tremendous pressure placed on the leisure, and hospitality sector over the period of the covid-19 pandemic; and wishes the business every success for the future.
