Sandaig Nursery defibrillator fundraising

The motion
That this House celebrates Sandaig nursery school in Barlanark which has raised money for a defibrillator; commends the nursery for raising £2000 after being inspired by a pupil with a rare heart condition; notes that Ayla McKay, a pupil at Sandaig Nursery, has a rare heart condition called partial anomalous pulmonary venous drainage; highlights that Ayla’s parents, Donna and Peter, have contributed hugely to the fundraising efforts and also hope to install a defibrillator at Ayla’s future primary school; further notes staff members at Sandaig Nursery, alongside Ayla’s mum and her colleagues, completed a 23 mile walk to raise further funds; commends that any remaining money will be donated to Glasgow Children's Hospital's Cardiac Ward; and celebrates the fundraising efforts of the nursery and congratulates them on reaching their goal.
