World Alzheimer's Month 2022

That this House notes and applauds the campaign of World Alzheimer's Month during the month of September, celebrated by global charities including Dementia UK and Alzheimer's Disease International; highlights the aim of raising awareness of the challenges and stigma that surrounds Alzheimer's and Dementia; further highlights that this campaign has been running since 2012, with September 21st being celebrated as World Alzheimer's Day; emphasises that globally, Dementia is one of the biggest health challenges we face, with nearly 50 million people living with Dementia worldwide; further emphasises the importance of tackling this international challenge and providing support, routine and financial dependence; and sends thanks to our UK Alzheimer's and Dementia charities for all their hard work and dedication in providing crucial support and assistance to those struggling and living with the challenges of Alzheimer's.
