Danderhall and District Guerilla Gardeners

That this House congratulates Danderhall and District Guerilla Gardeners on being awarded the Best in Britain award from Britain in Bloom for their Child Miner memorial site at the Wisp; notes that the memorial site, rockery and gateway sign are all designed to commemorate the role of children in Midlothian mining communities and the shocking deaths that occurred in the mines; recognises that Britain in Bloom is the UK’s nationwide gardening competition and works to strengthen communities and tackle local issues through recognising the work of gardening groups; and wishes the gardeners all the very best for the presentation of this award at the memorial site on Sunday 27 November 2022.
