Contribution to the community of Cumnock by Marion Gilliland

That this House recognises and congratulates Marion Gilliland of Cumnock on being named Scotland’s High Street hero at the recent Scottish Towns Partnership awards ceremony; notes her outstanding contribution and commitment to the community of Cumnock for over thirty years through her work with the Cumnock Business Association and the significant difference made by her in improving the local area and businesses; and further notes Marion’s support of local and national charities including raising over twenty four thousand pounds for Motor Neurone Disease whilst suffering personal ill health.
