Ben Gentil, East Lothian Young Musician of the Year

That this House congratulates Ben Gentil on being crowned East Lothian's Young Musician of the Year in a countywide competition in March 2023; understands that 25 soloists from seven different schools performed in recitals at St Mary's Parish Church in Haddington, and that 13 of those were asked to return for the final, where drummer Ben was announced as the winner by adjudicators; recognises that Ben has also been offered a place at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts; and wishes Ben and all the runners-up the very best of luck with the future.
