Proposed Marriage of David John Evans

That this House calls upon the Home Secretary to halt on security grounds the proposed marriage of prisoner David John Evans, currently serving 30 years imprisonment at Her Majesty's Prison, Wakefield, after conviction for sexually assaulting and murdering a schoolgirl following other terms of imprisonment for sexual abuse and rape; and feels that such a privilege extended to such a prisoner may lead to a prison riot.
