90th anniversary of the Portaferry Women’s Institute

That this House congratulates the Portaferry Women’s Institute on its 90th anniversary; notes the Institute's outstanding contribution to community life since its founding in 1935, including its support for local charities, projects and educational programmes that promote social skills and wellbeing; highlights the dedication and leadership of its current President, Elaine McBratney, and the many members past and present whose voluntary efforts have enriched the community of Portaferry and the wider Ards Peninsula; underlines the Institute’s active role in fostering women's empowerment, rural development and community resilience; further notes the celebration of this milestone with a commemorative dinner held in Gowans of Ballyspurge, Cloughey; and sends best wishes for the continued growth and impact of the Portaferry Women’s Institute in the decades to come.
