West Berkshire Toy Appeal

The motion

That this House congratulates The Swift Group and The Community Furniture Project on launching the 16th annual West Berkshire Toy Appeal; commends the generosity of the local community in supporting families during the festive season; notes with concern that the ongoing cost of living crisis has left many families struggling to afford even basic necessities, making donations to the appeal more vital than ever; celebrates the volunteers and organisers whose dedication ensures children can experience the joy of Christmas despite financial hardship; and calls on the Government to continue supporting community-led initiatives that provide dignity, relief and hope to families affected by rising costs.
