West Lothian Youth Brass Bands

That this House congratulates Kirkton Youth Band and Whitburn Youth Band on winning at the Scottish Youth Brass Band Championships; commends Kirkton Youth Band for achieving Gold in the Novice section under the leadership of Karen Heenan; recognises Whitburn Youth Band for securing Gold in the Development section led by Caroline Farren; thanks the parents, volunteers and local instrumental music services for their support; notes the great tradition across West Lothian of Brass Bands and the important role they play in community pride; and wishes both bands continued success in inspiring young musicians and representing West Lothian.
