The motion

leave out from 'House' to end and add 'urges Her Majesty's Government to review its policy to limit further the availability of medicines to NHS patients in view of the fact that patients must continue to receive the most effective available treatments irrespective of age, sex, income or cost of treatment;that the great uncertainty caused by the policy is undermining investment in current and future pharmaceutical research; and that the two joint working groups from the Department of Health and the Association of British Pharmaceutical Industry, set up by the Secretary of State for Health, should have an opportunity to report to her before the new regulations are laid before Parliament for debate.'.
