Missing Evri deliveries

The motion

That this House expresses concern at the nation-wide failures by Evri deliveries, which have caused distress and frustration for many, particularly at this time of year; acknowledges the volume of complaints across the country, including incidents where customers’ parcels were dumped with no attempt at delivery; notes that in September this led to a police investigation in Hampshire after the disappearance of 89 parcels; highlights the unacceptable strain that this causes for those struggling with the cost of living and the detrimental effect of Evri’s failures on small businesses, who rely on these services; and urges the Chief Executive of Evri, Martijn de Lange, to commit to investigating the cause of these issues and to reassuring customers of the steps that will be taken to rectify errors and support seasonal demand.
