Royal Surrey County Hospital research funding

The motion

That this House congratulates the Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust on receiving £1,499,371 from the National Institute for Health and Care Research; recognises that this funding will provide new aseptic services equipment to expand cancer research, neonatal equipment to support paediatric studies, and advanced diagnostics for liver disease research; notes that the investment will also increase access to innovative therapies through commercial research and boost diagnostic capacity when equipment is used for routine care; and commends the staff whose hard work secured this competitive funding and continues to strengthen the UK's leadership in life sciences and improve patient outcomes.
