Wincanton Town Council Bronze Award in the National Council Award Scheme

That this House congratulates Wincanton Town Council on achieving the Bronze Award in the National Council Award Scheme; recognises that this award reflects the hard work of the Town Council’s staff and councillors in demonstrating a strong commitment to good governance, transparency, community engagement and effective local leadership; understands that the awarding of the Bronze Award praises council’s ability to operate lawfully, with residents needs in mind, whilst adhering to a strong set of ethical standards; notes that the Local Council Award Scheme was created to celebrate excellence across local councils while encouraging sustained improvements in the services they provide; and wishes Wincanton Town Council every success as it continues to build upon this achievement to further enhance its work for Wincanton’s local community.
