Tabled by Max Wilkinson (Liberal Democrat)

The motion
That this House expresses sympathy to the victims, their families, and all those affected by the attacks in both Southampton and Belfast; condemns the public disorder in Belfast and Southampton; affirms that while peaceful protest is a fundamental right, violence and intimidation have no place in a democratic society; further condemns those politicians and public figures whose rhetoric has inflamed tensions and contributed to disorder; commends the emergency services for their response; and calls on all leaders to act responsibly, restore calm, and support efforts to restore community cohesion.
