The motion
That this House recognises the importance of reliable public transport in connecting rural communities with employment, education, healthcare, and essential services; notes with concern the removal of the direct T4 bus service between Mid Wales and Cardiff, requiring passengers to change in Merthyr Tydfil; believes this has made journeys longer, less convenient and less accessible, particularly for older people, disabled passengers, and those travelling with young children or luggage; further recognises the importance of direct transport links to Cardiff for access to specialist NHS services, higher education, employment, and national institutions; and calls on the Welsh Government and Transport for Wales to reinstate a direct T4 bus service between Mid Wales and Cardiff.
