The motion
That this House recognises the outstanding contribution of Councillor Lilian Dodd to the people of Stoke-on-Trent through her tireless organisation of the annual Armed Forces Day event in Queen's Park, Longton; commends her dedication in bringing together serving personnel, veterans, cadet organisations, charities, community groups and residents to honour the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces community; notes that the event has become a much-loved fixture in Stoke-on-Trent's civic calendar, celebrating those who serve and have served while strengthening community spirit; further recognises Councillor Dodd's longstanding commitment to supporting veterans and championing the Armed Forces Covenant locally; and expresses its sincere thanks for her years of dedication, hard work and public service in ensuring the Armed Forces community receives the recognition it deserves.
