The motion
That this House notes the widespread concern expressed by members of the retail trade about the proposed size of the warning notice to implement Clause 4 of the Children and Young Persons (Protection from Tobacco) Act 1992; urges the Secretary of State for Health to recognise that in this matter the retailers are already liable to pay larger fines if the law is broken; and asks therefore, that she take into account the advice she has received and adopt a more practical notice.
