HON MEMBER FOR TORBAY AND MAXWELL PENSIONERS

That this House notes that the honourable Member for Torbay has recently received libel damages of a reported ú250,000 from the Daily Mirror over stories concerning the Maxwell scandal; further notes his repeated public concern over the plight of the Mirror and Maxwell pensioners; and suggests he could best demonstrate that concern by donating the libel award to the official fund set up by the Government to compensate the Maxwell pensioners.
