Tabled by Peter Griffiths (Conservative)

The motion
leave out from 'notes' to end and add 'that nearly 17 million smokers in the United Kingdom will contribute ú8.2 billion in tobacco tax this year; further notes that the United Kingdom, which regulates tobacco advertising through voluntary agreements, has a better record in reducing tobacco consumption than all EC member states with advertising bans; and so urges the Secretary of State for Health to maintain her firm sensible opposition to the proposed EC Directive to ban tobacco advertising.'.
