That this House deplores the proposal to remove secretaries and Members from 7, Old Palace Yard to No. 7 Millbank, which will greatly inconvenience the staff and Members and make access to the House in reasonable time impossible; deplores even more, at a time of national stringency, a proposal which will cost, on present estimates, in excess of ú5 million; and demands that this absurd extravagance and practical stupidity should be cancelled on fiscal, economic, logistic, human and intelligent grounds.
