The motion
That this House congratulates Hoverspeed Great Britain on its record breaking crossing of the Atlantic, and notes the Prime Minister's congratulations; further notes that the catamaran was built in Tasmania and that the only European licence holder for constructing similar vessels is Aluminium Shipbuilders Limited; and therefore expresses astonishment that Aluminium Shipbuilders Limited are unable to construct these vessels, for which there is a huge and growing market, since the only location in the United Kingdom that is suitable is the Southwick covered construction hall in Sunderland which is not available to Aluminium Shipbuilders Limited due to the refusal of Her Majesty's Government to re-negotiate the secret agreement of the above mentioned yard and others in Sunderland.
