The motion
leave out from 'House' to end and add, 'congratulates Her Majesty's Government on the considerable expansion in the NHS dental services since 1979,including a 43 per cent. increase in real terms spending and a 27 per cent. increase in the number of dentists; considers that an average income for dentists of around ú40,000 is reasonable, bearing in mind that this is still some ú5,000 above the Doctors and Dentists Review Body recommendation which itself was an 8.5 per cent increase (3. 8 per cent. in real terms.);and calls upon the dental profession to forward recommendations for a more equitable spread of net income for dentists within the same national fund.'.
