The motion

That this House notes the publication of the Government's Green Paper, The Future of Postal Services; welcomes the recognition that the Post Office needs commercial freedom in new markets, but believes this can be achieved without full privatisation; opposes any move to sell a majority shareholding in the Post Office; and therefore supports, one option identified in the Green Paper, namely commercial freedom within the public sector. (Relevant registered interest declared.)
