KIDDERMINSTER HARRIERS AND THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Tabled by Anthony Coombs (Conservative) 22 signatures

The motion

That this House notes the achievement of Kidderminster Harriers F.C. in winning the Vauxhall Conference Championship; recognises the credit they brought this season to non-league football by reaching the last 16 of the F.A. Cup; therefore profoundly regrets the decision of the Football League to exclude them from membership for the 1994/95 season, a privilege usually extended to Conference Champions; and, in the light of the club's assurance that their ground will meet league standards by the beginning of the 1994/95 season, urges the League Management Committee to reconsider this bureaucratic and morally unjustifiable decision.
