The motion

That this House wishes to mark the 200th anniversary of the founding of the Volunteer Yeomanry Cavalry in March, 1794 by congratulating and commending all those who have served as Yeomen in war and peace to preserve the freedom of the nation at home and abroad and who have maintained throughout the highest traditions of British arms, courage and valour whenever and wherever required; and notes that in recent times it has taken on every change and chance demanded of it with a willingness and professionalism that its founders would be proud of.
