UNESCO

That this House, aware of the United Kingdom's dominant influence in establishing UNESCO in November 1945, noting the positive and successful changes that have taken place within it in recent years, believing that the United Kingdom is failing to use it to promote English as the major means of communication in the modern world, calls on Her Majesty's Government to accept the principle of universality in the membership of the United Nations and its agencies, and to return to full membership of UNESCO, without waiting for the United States, and without further and damaging delay.
