It was moved by the Lord Mackay of Ardbrecknish, in Clause 52, page 32, line 43, to leave out (“paid by them into the Consolidated Fund”) and insert (“distributed, in proportion to the number of Members of the House of Commons each registered party has, among those parties to which two or more Members of the House of Commons belong”); which being objected to, the question was put thereupon, and the Committee divided:
