Lord Wade of Chorlton moved, as an amendment to the motion that the draft Order be approved, at end to insert "but this House calls on Her Majesty's Government not to proceed with the draft Order until the residents of Cheshire have been fully and properly consulted and have been able to express a view on the division of their county."
