Criminal Justice and Immigration Bill
Lord Kingsland moved amendment 82, in clause 55, page 38, line 3, at end to insert: “( ) After subsection (1) (designation of non-legal staff) insert— “(1A) A person designated under subsection (1) shall only be permitted to carry out any legal activity as defined by section 12 of the Legal Services Act 2007 (c. 29) if he has been authorised so to do by a body which is designated as an approved regulator by Part 1 of Schedule 4 of that Act or under Part 2 of that Schedule (or both) and whose regulatory arrangements are approved for the purposes of that Act.”” The House divided:

The party breakdowns are our own analysis of the official voting records (recorded votes only; they do not describe the formal whip). How we work this out.
Peers attend divisions ad hoc, so there is no did-not-vote list. Tellers are counted in the Content and Not Content totals, unlike in the Commons.
Tellers: Baroness Anelay of St Johns (Content), Lord Shutt of Greetland (Content), Lord Davies of Oldham (Not Content), Baroness Royall of Blaisdon (Not Content).
