Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Bill

Lord Young of Norwood Green moved amendment 74AA, in clause 151, page 140, line 12, at end to insert: “(4A) An employer must offer a fixed-hours contract to a worker who has worked regular hours for a continuous period, or series of continuous periods, of employment, to be determined by the Secretary of State. (4B) The Secretary of State shall by regulations make provision for the determination of “regular hours” under subsection (4A).” The House divided:
