It was moved by the Lord Kingsland, in Clause 8, page 4, line 16, at end to insert: “( ) But the defendant shall not be held to have benefited to the extent that such benefit has already been forfeited by reason of any other power or enactment.”; which being objected to, the question was put thereupon, and the Committee divided:
