It was moved by the Lord Ackner, in Schedule 19, page 290, line 29, at end to insert: “Nothing in this Schedule shall fetter the judge’s own discretion in the individual case to set the sentence he thinks is appropriate.”;which being objected to, the question was put thereupon, and the House divided:
