Water Bill [HL]

It was moved by the Baroness Byford, as an amendment to the motion that the House do agree with the Commons in their Amendment 1, to leave out from “House” to end and insert “do disagree with the Commons in their Amendment 1, but do propose the following amendment to the words so restored to the Bill: page 1, line 6, at end insert “, and in carrying out his duty, shall have particular regard to the steps to be taken under section (Duty to encourage water conservation)””; which being objected to, the question was put thereupon, and the House divided:
