It was moved by the Lord Newby, in Clause 3, page 2, line 33, at end to insert: “( ) Regulations shall not require account providers to provide equity-based accounts, and shall make provision for cash deposit accounts, including provision for such accounts provided by building societies.”; which being objected to, the question was put thereupon, and the House divided:
