To ask the Scottish Government how many reported instances there have been of CalMac’s booking system showing that a ferry service was fully booked when it was not, in each month since the new ticketing system was introduced.
Answer · Fiona Hyslop: Under the current Clyde and Hebrides ferry contract there is no requirement for CalMac to report this detail. Therefore, the Scottish Government does not hold this information. The booking system, its management and operation is a matter for CalMac.
