To ask the Scottish Executive what savings have been made by NHS Scotland from lessons learned by the Scottish Arthroplasty Project regarding failed hip and knee replacements.

Answer · Michael Matheson: A number of outcomes have improved following the introduction of the project. These include reduced infection and dislocation rates as well as a reduction in the number of different prostheses used in NHSScotland.
