The NHS staff supervising dentaloutreach students will require to undergo appropriate induction and training. Inaddition IT links will be established with the universities to give thesestudents access to distance learning facilities.</p>

Levels of dental teachingstaff are set by the universities andNHS Education for Scotland and agreed with the General Dental Council. It isfor health boards to appoint appropriate staff to deliver training andsupervision for dental students in their area.</p>
