Ministers and officials meet representatives of Scottish Enterprise on a regular basis in the ministerial office in Atlantic Quay. The most recent meeting with ministers was on 1 February 2011 when the Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Sustainable Growth met representatives of Scottish Enterprise at a meeting of the BioQuarter Partners'' Forum.</b></p>

The Scottish Government is working with its delivery partners to reduce carbon emissions from the games. Specific measures include the innovative modification and re-use of venues, along with a new generation of lower carbon buildings. With the extensive promotion of active and sustainable transport and resource use minimisation, the Scottish Government intends that the 2014 Commonwealth Games will act as an exemplar for good green event management.</b></p>

In line with current guidance on informing, engaging and consulting people in developing health and community services, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde asked government officials earlier this year to confirm the NHS board''s assumption that their proposed changes to inpatient rehabilitation services in east Glasgow, including the possible closure of Lightburn Hospital, should be considered as major service change.</b></p> <p >This was confirmed and, accordingly, the NHS board initiated formal public consultation on 30 August 2010. This will run until 30 November 2010 and I would encourage all local stakeholders to play a full part in this process and to register their views with the board.</p>

The action plan for improving oral health and modernising NHS dental services has been in place since 2005. A key component of the action plan is the Childsmile programme, which is a dental preventative programme for children from birth. In 2007 the Scottish Government complemented this by introducing the Childsmile school preventive service. Additionally, we are currently developing a strategy to further improve the oral health and provide better access to NHS dental care for priority groups.</b></p>

Since 2007 we have been building on the action plan for improving oral health and modernising dental services, extending the Childsmile programmes across Scotland and launching Childsmile School. We have continued to see an improvement in children''s dental health and are pleased to note that this also extends to the most deprived groups in the population. We are supporting a number of initiatives across Scotland to improve the oral health of vulnerable groups such as older people, the homeless and prisoners.</b></p>

There are currently no plans to fluoridate the public water supply. The Water (Fluoridation) Act 1985 places the onus on NHS boards, based on local consultations and full support of the general public, to apply to Scottish Water if they wish to introduce a fluoridation scheme. The majority of people that responded to a 2002 consultation document were against the idea.</b></p> <p >The Scottish Government is committed to improving oral health, particularly in children, and widening access to NHS dentistry. On 20 March 2007, the Scottish Government launched the roll out of the school based dental service Childsmile School targeting the most deprived areas of Scotland. Recent statistics have also shown a rise in the number of NHS dentists and an increase in the number of patients, including children, registered with an NHS dentist. For example, we have met&nbsp; the 2008-09 dental HEAT target that 80% of all three to five-year-old children to be registered with an NHS dentist by 2010-11. In the period ending March 2008 the registration percentage of three to five-year-olds was 77.3%. This rose to 84.4% in the quarter ending March 2009.And one of the Scottish targets set for the year 2010 was that 60% of P7 children should be free of obvious dental decay experience. The recently published National Dental Inspection Programme report (2009) shows that the 63.6% P7 children in NHS boards across Scotland showed no signs of obvious decay experience in their permanent teeth.</p>

We are pursuing the policies I outlined earlier today.</p> <p >I am sure that the member will welcome, as I do, the CashBack funded Jump2It programme for basketball in primary schools. The programme ran in 37 primary schools in the east end of Glasgow for 3,400 pupils, including every primary school in the Shettleston area last year.</p>

Scottish Government officials regularly attend COSLA Strategic Migration Partnership meetings which discuss the delivery of services to asylum seekers, refugees and migrant workers in Scotland. This group includes Home Office/UKBA officials and most recently met on 8 December 2009.</p>
