To ask the Scottish Executive whether Highland and Islands Enterprise's estimate of the likely numbers of visitors to the proposed funicular railway on Cairn Gorm is based on the estimated or actual number of visitors to other existing Highland tourist attractions.

Answer · Sarah Boyack: Since this development proposal was first submitted to the Highland Council in 1994 the Scottish Office and Executive have received 10,654 letters of objection/representation and 203 expressions of support.
