We request that the House of Commons urges the Department of Health to review the current policies into the monitoring of foetal heartrate before and after ECV; to increase the time that babies are monitored after ECV; to review the data on risks of ECV, including compression risks; to review statistics held on unsuccessful ECVs and the reasons for them and statistics held on injuries and fatalities caused by ECV; and to change the information on ECV that is given to pregnant women who are offered the ECV procedure including all risks and statistics.
