What the petition asks
1940 was the day we lost the largest amount of British Troops men women and children. 5-10,000 lost. Mr Osborne a stand-in for "Prime Ministers question time" finally acknowledged the disaster ever took place. We finally need RECOGNITION in one way or another.
My wife and I (David & Jayne Dalrymple) 10 years of working with survivors and families of those lost, with the view to the making a film regarding the sinking. Filming the families and suvivors of those lost (Lancastria-Recogniton-Campaign). It would be closure to many who feel the need to recognise the disaster before it is to late. Bigger than Lusitania and the Titanic combined losses. It is Britain's Worst Maritime Disaster, yet the men-women in our streets have never heard of the disaster.
