What the petition asks
The government has setup a commission to look to restrict or remove all rights under the Freedom of Information act - the act needs to be left alone and commission disbanded. We have a right to open government and this should not be removed.

What is the act? - https://goo.gl/ZEmhXL
The Freedom of Information Act was created in 2000 was created on the main principle that people have a right to know about the activities of public authorities, unless there is a good reason for them not to.
The current government is setting up a commission to examine if it should be restricted or removed entirely - there doesn't seem to be an option to extend or broaden it, and they've filled it with sceptics.
Please leave the act alone disband the commission and continue in open government.
