What the petition asks
The Burbot was a widely distributed freshwater fish in UK rivers up to the 1700s. It became extinct in the UK by the mid 20th century. Now is the time to reintroduce this fish to help reduce the non-native American Signal Crayfish which is causing considerable damage in our freshwater ecosystem.
