What the petition asks
Fees for attending university in England have rocketed from the introduction of a £1000 fee per year in 1998 to £9000 per year in 2011. Now the government has announced that student maintenance grants will be replaced with loans in 2016, meaning that students could end up over £50,000 in debt.
