Overturn Lady Justice Arden's landmark decision overruling a legally made Will.

Rejected 16 signatures

What the petition asks

On July 28 2015 in The Court of Appeal Lady Justice Arden overruled the Last Will and Testament, made in sound mind, of Melita Jackson, thus giving £164000 to her estranged daughter on the grounds that the daughter is on benefits and can't afford to go on holiday or buy clothes for her children.

This is an appalling decision for which Justice Arden should rightly be removed but since this is almost impossible, the decision must be overturned.

It literally means that now the law says you CANNOT dispose of your money and assets as you see fit. It means that any child can actually challenge a Will made by any person of sound mind and a JUDGE can then decide what happens to your estate after you are dead!

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Decisions made by the courts are not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

If you would like the law to be changed, you could start a petition asking for that to happen.
