Detain Secretary of State for the Environment under the mental health act

What the petition asks

Due to the recent decision by the Secretary of state for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs to allow the use of pesticides which risk the pollination system and thus the health and wellbeing of countless people we have to question her mental health.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

There is no provision under the Mental Health Act 1983 for the UK Government or Parliament to detain an individual. Section 2(3) of the Act sets out the procedure for detention.
