Add Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis to the long term illness scheme
Rejected

What the petition asks
Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis are not on the list of conditions, which has not changed since the 1970s. Both diseases are chronic long term illnesses, and require constant expensive medication, stoma care and regular GP and hospital visits, which in turn is causing financial hardship.
The condition list needs to be updated.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We think this petition relates to a scheme for long-term conditions operated by the government of the Republic of Ireland. It is therefore not a matter which the UK Government or Parliament is responsible for.
