Reinstate the Death Penalty for Treason

What the petition asks
This is a call for the UK Government to reinstate the Death Penalty as an option for judges when an individual has committed (or attempted to commit) an act of Treason.
Also, intertwining committed acts of Terrorism and espionage should be classed as Treason against the British people. A new definition of Treason should be published where it ought to cover the British people, and not just social superiors.
For example, if a UK National, even the PM or Royal family member committed an act of treason, they should be tried, with an option of the Death Penalty being deemed appropriate for their punishment.
